Today we are launching v3.5.6 of Tabox for Chrome and Edge.
This version offers performance improvements when opening a collection, as well as other fixes and adjustments.
v3.5.6 is available now on the Chrome Web Store and will be released on the Microsoft Edge store in the next few days.
Here is what's new:
When opening collections, all tabs will be discarded once opened. A discarded tab is a tab that has been unloaded from memory - it's still there in your window but it will only load the website once you click to switch to it. This will result in much faster collection opening in both new and existing windows! The discard tabs option is enabled by default starting from v3.5.6. If you wish to disable this option you can do that in the Settings menu under: "Discard tabs on open".
Adding a new collection will now clear the search box The search / add collection text box used to keep the text once you clicked "Add", now it will clear the text, showing you all your collections.
Improvements to auto updating collections This is just some behind the scenes tweaks to make auto updating collections work slightly better. This feature is still in BETA so use it carefully!
Fixed: When adding a collection, the item was not highlighted When you add a new collection, the correct behavior should be that the collection you just added is briefly "highlighted" noting its place in the list. This functionality was broken, but we fixed it now!
